THRUST Rocketry

Branding, social media, and web design for a growing student rocketry organization.

About the Organization

THRUST is a high-powered rocketry student group and non-profit organization. They needed a consistent branding, as well as digital and print materials to boost club recruitment. The university of Illinois has multiple clubs in the aerospace engineering area, with THRUST being a smaller and newer club. They focus on a hands-on approach with opportunities to be an important part of any project students can join.

Website

The website needed to be clear enough for interested prospective members to be able to learn about the club and also be able to easily find how to get involved at any point. Its main purpose was to provide a way for potential supporters to learn about THRUST as an organization and make easy donations. 

Social Media

I worked with their existing marketing team to create a template for social media posts. I also included guidelines so they could be created by anyone not familiar with Adobe programs. 

Branding

I updated their logo, as well as created new branding guidelines that would be easy to use across the web. I found a font accessible on wordpress and google slides, created a color palette of blues and oranges inspired by photos of the atmosphere from space and UIUC’s school colors.
